The Role:

The new and exciting position which comprises of a wide range of skill sets is a critical part of the continued success of Druid’s strategy to role out mobile network solutions (2G, 3G 4G & 5G) to our customers all over the world. Due to the growing demand for our solutions, Druid is expanding its Support and Installation department and an exciting opportunity exists to join our team of engineers, deploying and supporting our software solutions. The successful candidate will have high energy, a positive attitude, leadership skills, be ambitious & innovative and play a key role in installing and deploying the latest mobile network solution to customers and also maintain the critical office services and security.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installing, supporting and maintaining the Druid platform and network infrastructure to run 2G, 3G and 4G & 5G mobile networks on customer sites.
  • Interfacing with customers and being the on-site face of the company.
  • Liaising with Druid employees for remote assistance via email, remote desktop, etc.
  • Problem solving: understand network failure points and security holes, finding and implementing solutions to fix them.
  • The post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post, which may be assigned to him/her from time to time, and to contribute to the development of the post while in office.

The Candidate – Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor of Science or Engineering (Degree) in IT, telecommunications
    or equivalent.
  • Evidence of progressive professional development and training.


  • Post graduate qualification in a related field.



  • Knowledge and understanding of networks and protocol analysis tools such as TCP/IP stack, routing, firewalls, wireshark, traceroute or nmap.
  • Knowledge, understanding and use of Linux operating systems and services such as Ubuntu, Redhat or CentOS.
  • Exposure to scripting languages such as Python or BASH.


  • Three/four years’ experience in the telecommunications
  • Experience working with modern IT environments and latest industry tools.
  • Experience in the configuration and management of virtualisation software such as Virtual Box, VMVare, LXC or docker.

Essential Criteria

  • A solid team player with ability to work independently.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Interest in working with wireless telecommunications equipment such as mobile cellular telecommunications and satellite links etc.
  • Ability to travel outside of Ireland to customer sites if required for install or support.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of system and network security.
